Bored bored bored. Hello people! I'm currently blogging from the hospital while waiting for my mom's turn to see the doc. Its such a long wait.. Tempted to go to the secret recipe at the hospital for a piece of oreo cheese.. Yum yum! Anyway, sorry for the lack of updates..sorta lost my blogging mojo. Plus alot has been happening at work.. And also in life.. Both good and bad.. About work well i cant talk about it here. All i can say is things is getting pretty ugly.. All i can do is pray that everything will be alright. And also hope my annual leave wont get pulled back! Lol. About life outside work... Well life's been pretty good lately.. I had an awesome birthday too :) maybe i will update on that soon. As of now.. I gotta decide whether to read the book i read, or play sudoku or try n to fall asleep in a crowded hospital. Toodles!

Snippets from work #3.


So, I was given the grand opportunity to participate in the company's Initial Public Offering Launch on Wednesday. Location was at Mandarin Oriental and it was a really eye opener for me. All the influential people from the corporate world were there. Politicians, CEOs, rich businessman, ex-patriates and lots of men (and women) in corporate suits. Anyway, my job was just to talk to these people if they needed to know more about our products but I guess most of them don't really bother cause they all have their mind set on getting a piece of our stocks. Unfortunately for me, I did not get any allocation cause I have not worked for the company long enough...and going for the white form is just too much trouble, plus what are the odds of getting it anyway?

the best part of the day ! free foooooood ! there were way toooo many leftovers.....

i guess busy people don't really eat. hmmm.

Okay, anyway, I've been working for this company for what, close to nine months already and one thing I've gotta admit is, my work life was never boring. Never would I imagine being in this line of work as this was totally NOT my field of study. There are goods and bads of every job..the bads well...this job is freaking unstable..your life is basicly dedicated to it. You can't plan anything, if you do, you will be left hanging till the very day of the event cause who knows what will come up last minute. Even annual leaves can be cancelled (and i'm praying oh-s0-hard they wont cancel mine). Annoying customers that make your life difficult is another stressful part of the job...most of the time I cant have my off days in peace. But that aside, one thing I've learnt from this job is to speak to random people...and this really helped me alot to overcome my shyness and public speaking.....I find myself being more daring to talk to people these days and I guess thats good for me. Oh one more thing about my work is, every day the environment changes in the office....one day I go to work and poof the sofa's changed. Next day, fiberoptic lights pops out of nowhere....and one day i went to work and EVERYONE were wearing surgical masks, another day I see a clown in the office..and next day i see like 10 guys meddling around with the laptops the whole day....and next random tables pop up....and a few days later they mysteriously dissapear...and the most recently...i went to work and saw this....

Boxes. right in the middle of the office.

And there were more of these on the other side.....

You know what's inside of these boxes??

FORMS. thousands and thousands of forms for potential shareholders.......

the office is packed with people coming to get the forms !!

what more this weekend we have like four different events going on in the office ! *faints*

I wantttt a nice massage !! :( :(

Without a reasonable doubt & Mel's Birthday.


Looks like the only time everyone will gather together is during someone's birthday.
November is coming up !! *hint hint*

This was during Mel's surprise a few weeks back where we managed to sneak in her house, lit up the cake and very very silently crept up to her room to surprise her...

funny thing is when we knocked she actually yelled "come in laa.." thinking it was her sister...
but we were kind enough not to barge in justttt in case...

yup, she was totally surprised.


with Ah YIMMMMM ! hehehe. thank you for being there through the hard times :) will bug you soon again lol

Movie and Dinner with the Year 2 uni gang !

Reason why I call them the Year 2 uni gang is because by my Year 3, majority of them had already graduated.

The movie we watched was called Beyond A Reasonable Doubt. All I can say is, the storyline is good, but the filming (and soundtrack) was totally crap. No point wasting your money on this.

I wanna watch This Is It, 500 Days of Summer and The Time Traveller's Wife (confirm tear jerker). Why do I like to torture myself !! hahah.

I guess it's really time.

super last minute decision cos I got free tickets from KH like 2 days before the day.

super happy cos I've been going to concerts religiously every year and finally got to go to one this year (since the Rihanna concert got cancelled)..plus its BEP!! one of my favourite groups everrrr !

Having a drink at the Tavern before the party started. Believe it or not, it was my first time having Guinness and boy was it smooth. Never expected it to taste this good...:)
