Phuket Day 4
is beach day!! strong strong waves i likey :) dangerous though.

loveeee this.
amazed at how strong the waves are...

Headed back and went for a walk around the resorts.
There is a wedding chapel in the resort that seats 50 people. Its really pretty :)

And after each ceremony, the couples name will be engraved on one of these gold plates.

Like this.
was a funny unique name...
At night, mom and I went for a Cabaret Show in Patong called Simon Cabaret. This is not those sleazy tiger shows k. Its the decent one that costs Baht6000 (RM60). Kids are allowed to watch too.
We cant take pictures or videos in the theatre so cant show you guys how it was. But i say it was worth every cent. haahha. how often do you get to see ladyboys (katoi) dancing and performing?
Not very often i must say. And YES. ALL of the performers are transexuals. There are male dancers but they look so gay. SO yeah, technically, all the performers are male/used to be males. However, they dont look like those fugly pondans you see in Jalan Chow Kit. IN fact some of them are really pretty....you wont even know they're born males!
Luckily for you guys, after the show, all of them will line up in one line for people like me to take pics with them/of them. But they charge Baht40 (RM4) for each picture with them. I didnt take any pics with them cos i didnt want to pay plus soooo many people wanted to take pics with them it was so crowded. I did take some pics of them though.....
Warning : To those who are below 18 or easily offended, please click X now.

yes they parade themselves in their skimpiest outfits so people will be attracted to take pics with them, hence, they get more moolah.

this one is quite pretty. oh those are Korean girls posing with her/him?? and they are really cute no?

Another pretty one.

The one on the left performed as Tina Turner for the show.

And i shall end with this.

Once again, to those who are below 18 or easily offended and have not clicked X i advise you to do it NOW.

skank of the night, with only two stars stickers covering her.. his ..her boobs. and everybody say ewwww...?

byeeee people!

Phuket Day 3
Took a stroll that morning and look what I spotted in the bushes!
a baby elephant! This elephant belongs to Sheraton Hotel. They have 2 baby elephants called Lucky and Lily where the trainer will take them for walks every morning and evening. It must be my lucky day to spot one!

they are very good with poses kay!

awwwwww! it is so cuteeeeeeeeee...

Continued the stroll to Sheraton Hotel which is much nicer and bigger than the hotel i stayed in...i guess it must be a 6 star hotel.

this is part of Sheraton's swimming pool which is the longest swimming pool in Asia. it comes with an artificial beach (as seen on left side of the pic) and is indeed very long....but i didnt take a pic of the rest of the pool cause...it was too long and i was lazy.

And guess what?!

I spotted the elephants again! this time both Lucky and Lily were there! These babies are so tame and friendly...they are also very touchy...they LOVE to put their trunks around people's neck and kiss them. One of the elephants kissed me! i felt its breath on my face...which was really warm and they breath out aloT of air cos of their huge trunks. One of them even put its trunk in a lady's bag to look for food! They can also kneel on two legs and pose for pictures among other things they did.... haha i sound so excited no? i want an elephant tooo!

see...it'll just come up to you and hug you...

yay my turn!!! :)))

After breakfast, i went for a swim and then headed to Central Festival Shopping mall to walk around. Nothing much there, they have the usual stuff,Esprit, Guess, Bebe etc etc. prices are the same as Msia in fact some are more expensive. Then we headed to Patong Beach.

this was the the start of the road leading to Patong. As you can see in the picture, it started raining. We had to go through alot of winding roads to reach the place and the rain made it worse.

Finally we reached Patong Beach!

It was drizling so I didnt walk on the Patong Beach. Went to check out the shops alongside the beach. There are gazillion shops selling clothes, souvenirs, dvd and other stuff in Patong but I only got to check out one stretch cause it started raining heavily and had to seek shelter in Burger King. Btw, BK's price is almost two times the price in Msia but the portion is bigger.
the red vehicle behind me is a Tuk Tuk. I dont think this is the real Tuk Tuk though,i think the real ones are sorta like trishaws? correct me if i'm wrong :)

the beach is just across this road.

Since it was raining heavily and the vendors wont reduce their price to the price i want, i bought nothing! Seriously, i can get cheaper clothes from the Thai fairs in malaysia than in Phuket itself. They are very reluctant to reduce prices cause to the foreigners, the prices are already considered cheap so they profit alot by selling to foreigners who think paying RM30 for a shorts is cheap. Where as, the shorts only cost less than RM10 (cause Thai fair sells at RM10, thats how I know).
Anyway there are alot of imitation EdHardy t-shirts in Phuket which is hard to find in Msia but i didnt get any cause to me, it is still considered expensive for an imitation. i was basicly very dissapointed lah cos i didnt get anything but whatever..i went shopping yesterday so i am a happy child now.

Since it was raining heavily, we went home early. Luckily dad rented a Vios for the trip so we didnt have to hail a cab in the rain. Had dinner in the hotel at night cause it was STILL raining. yeah it was ultimate spoiler day that day cause i didnt get to go on Patong Beach, or shop or have dinner in patong oh and also the cabaret show thingy that i wanted to watch. So dinner was at Busit Laguna another neighbour hotel. There's a free shuttle bus service to all the Laguna hotels so it was quite convenient :)

Headed back to my hotel (Allamanda) and camho abit since the rain stopped.

Then had a drink at the bar cause it was still early to sleep.

Long Island tea...with coke. I didnt know Long Island have coke in it..hmmm...

haha. my pose quite fail but whatever la...the lights behind me is Sheraton Hotel.

okay, tomorrow's post gonna be an interesting one! stay tuned ;)

Oh wait, i've got a question.
how long does it take to load my blog with all the pictures and stuff?
cos a friend says it takes a long time to load but it loads really fast for me. feedback please? :) thanks.

Today was surprisingly good :)

went for Monash buddy training and although things didnt go as planned, it was still good. I have a few friends there so it wasnt too bad. plus, my team leader is a friend too ;) Gonna be pretty busy next week (except for night time) so i guess i'm only free at night. peopleeeee call me out k, next week is my last week of holidays! well, technically its not really a holiday cause i'll be in uni almost everyday....but stilll....call me out yea! hahaha. this break feels too short!! I still have a number of friends i havent got to meet up with. You all know who you are :)
Oh another good thing that happened today is...i went shopping! Bought a top and pants and although i am already damn broke, i just had to buy it cause its really reasonable. Been lusting for it for a couple of months and only had to spend close to RM60 on both items! My wardrobe is complete. I dont have to shop for another few months (hah.we'll see) new look here I come :)
I'm gonna take a break from posting about Phuket today cause.....i dont want to overdose you guys with bikini pictures two days in a row....lol...i am kiddingg! ok, not really.

Anyway, the day after i got home from Phuket, i went out the whole day doing really random things. A bit wasting time but we had nothing better to do! its the holidays! haha. ZH had a friend from HK over so we brought her out for shopping (actually ZH brought her out for shopping, we just tagged along lol).
First stop Gardens and MV.

This is Tiffany from HK. and yes we actually went to KLCC after Gardens.

At night, the plan was.....to go drinking. The excuse was....actually i wasn't sure whether it was Bryan's belated belated belated BELATED bday night out or a belated post-exams celebration or Tiffany is going back to HK the next day or all of the above... But whatever it is...it was an interesting night !! ahahhahah.

Before that, we had to wait for Mr Choong so yeah...here are some shots while waiting.

the "effects" by Bryan.

we were obviously bored.

*jakun jakun*

Then we decided to start the celebration without Mr. Choong.hehe.

7atenine.

their strawberry margarita was really good.

would definately come back here. the ambience is lovely :)

and then they arrived.......at 11.40pm -.-

:)

will tomorrow be another good day?

Phuket Day 2

After breakfast I headed down to the beach. The waves were really big and no swimming is permitted because its the rainy season and there are rip currents in the sea. However, its still okay to walk along the beach. Just dont go too far down. I've never seen waves so big before! its really scary...the water never went above my knees but yet it has the force to pull me down...

The red flag means no swimming.

another thing about the sea there is its really foamy cause the impact is so big when it hits the shore.
i had a "paparazzi" following me around.

I got a temporary tattoo :)

i was still fair here......

this supposed to last one week but its still on my legs now :) but so far only 2 person noticed.

The caution sign and horses.

i miss my fair skin :( now people talk to me in Malay cause they think im Malay. Since we're on the same topic, the Thais think i am Thai when i was there...they will always speak to me in Thai first and then realise i'm not Thai when i stare blankly at them...

took the ferry to Canal Village to walk around and also take a free ferry tour of the whole Laguna area.
mostly just souvenir shops for tourists.

the wedding chapel. yes, you can have your wedding here if you want. this picture reminds me of The Lakehouse.
Then it was time for the elephant ride! one of the highlights of my trip :)
not everyone gets the chance to ride on an elephant you know...

i've developed a love for elephants. they look big but are actually really tame. especially the baby ones (more on that later)
At night, we went for Thai food at Rimtalay Restaurant in Laguna Beach Resort. We had to eat in the resort cos it was raining and the drive to patong from our place takes 45 minutes. and the journey is pretty hazardous cause you have to drive through hilly areas.

madwoman! haha.
appetizers!
Green Curry with Shrimps..yumm!

Ended the night with a Dry Martini. cheers!

p/s: some pictures you see on my blog are not on my facebook and vice versa.

Phuket Day 1.

i cant possibly blog everything in one post so i guess i have to separate it to a few posts.
So first up is about my first day in Phuket. In case you dont already know, Thailand is one hour behind our time. That means if its 3pm in Malaysia, its 2 pm in Thailand. WHich i find pretty weird cause China and malaysia have the same time, while Thailand which is in between China and Malaysia is one hour behind. hmmm...

Anyway, the Thais are really friendly people! They never fail to say hi (savaadee kaa/khab) or thank you (khorb khoon kaa/khab) or smile at you. By the way, when you greet people in Thai you must say kaa after Savadee if you're a female and khab if you're a guy. I dont know why they do that but my theory is..well...sometimes you just cant tell whether a person is a guy or girl in Thailand...... okayyy moving on.

The resort I stayed in is Allamanda Laguna Phuket which is a 5 star hotel (yay!). It is one of 5 hotels located around this man made lagoon built by Laguna Group, hence the name Laguna. Among their hotels there is its most expensive hotel, Sheraton Grande Resort. It also have its own private beach (part of Bangtao beach) which is pretty nice cause its not a public beach like Patong beach. Which means its is also more quiet, more relaxing, less happening but most importantly, less sleazy compared to Patong. Oh and it is not so affected by the Tsunami compared to Patong. Of course people did die there..just not as much. But honestly, Phuket doesnt look affected by the Tsunami at all. I guess its cause thats so many years ago and people already put that behind them. Tourists were everywhere! especially westerners. Seriously, westerners/europeans are everywhere! And this is the supposedly the LOW season.

here are some pics of the gorgeous 3 storey , 2 bedroom suite i stayed in.
Yes 3 storey!!!! There's even a terrace on the roof with beach chairs so you can tan/chill there.

first floor, living room. very cosy with fan and aircond. spent most of the nights watching NatGeo here. haha.

dining area..thats the kitchen behind the stairs.
the master bedroom is on the second floor. and my room is on the third. (above is my room).

the masters bedroom toilet is so nice...even comes with rubber duckies..and yeah..that is the tiled bathtub your looking at. Pull up the blinds and you will see a nice view of the lagoon. I doubt anyone will pull up the blinds while they shower though.

and this is the terrace on the rooftop overlooking the lagoon :)

this is the balcony on the first floor also overlooking the lagoon. its so picturesque, it feels like a page from a children's storybook. Oh and the suite is built on stilts cos its partly in the water.
see the little boat behind me? thats the Ferry that ferries people around to other hotels around the lagoon, Canal Village shopping village and also Laguna beach and Allamanda beach (on Bangtao beach).

this is the swimming pool area.
That night, we headed to one of the many restaurants outside the resort for dinner.
pork rolled in ham and cheese and cheese sauce. YUMMM!
pork with lemon sauce! for once, pork is freely available in restaurants :)

thats all for now!
gonna head out for a mamak session in awhile.
stay tuned for Part 2 :)

Sneak Preview.

It feels so weird to be blogging now. Its like i've forgotten how to blog! Cant blame me though, this is the LONGEST time i've been away from blogging. Anyway, to those curious souls out there who were wondering where i've been......well firstly, i had no mood to blog. Secondly, i left the country for 6 days. I came back on Sunday night and was out whole day (and night) yesterday and whole day today...hence the lack of blogging.

I have a gazillion pictures and its gonna take awhile before i sort them out and adjust the brightness and contrast etc etc...so be patient!!! will be back with updates of my holidays :)

Meanwhile, here's a little preview.
